Stimulus Training and Employment Programs 

 The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law with the intent to preserve and create jobs and promote the nation’s economic recovery through an investment of nearly eight hundred billion dollars. The City of Philadelphia was awarded $6.7 million in federal stimulus to support education and training programs targeting adults (age 18 years and older). ARRA training funds can be accessed through all five of the CareerLink offices in Philadelphia and are geared to help unemploymed workers receive training in high-growth industries.
