Over the years, PWDC has contributed to the growth, expansion, and strengthening of workforce development activities throughout the Philadelphia region. Each year, we invest over $100 million dollars to support organizations that provide employment and training services for unemployed and underemployed individuals. Through our competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process, we identify and select organizations that have the capacity to provide a broad spectrum of services to train and prepare the city’s workforce to meet the needs of employers. We also look for innovative training ideas and we welcome new partners to contact us to discuss potential projects which can further our efforts to promote opportunities for job seekers.
